Best Pool Service Marketing Agencies in 2026: An Honest Comparison
Six agencies that market to pool companies, compared on specialty, who they fit, and what to ask before you sign. I run one of them, so read the last section before you trust the first.
The short list
There's no single best pool service marketing agency. There's the best one for a three-truck route in Tampa, and a different best one for a builder in Dallas with a sales team. Here's the field, sorted by what each one is actually good at.
| Agency | Specialty | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| BJG Digital bjgdigital.com | Pool service Google Ads, websites, and follow-up automation | Pool routes with three or more trucks that want reporting in weekly accounts |
| Pool Marketing Site poolmarketing.com | Full-service pool specialist | Pool builders and multi-truck service companies that want a single vendor. |
| Pool Profits poolprofits.com | Pool service and route-density specialist | Recurring maintenance routes already on Skimmer. |
| Hook Agency hookagency.com | Contractor SEO and website conversion | Multi-trade contractors prioritizing SEO and websites. |
| CAMP Digital campdigital.com | Home services marketing at scale | Larger home service companies with multiple crews and a sales team. |
| Digital Dynamics trydigitaldynamics.com | Home service SEO, PPC, and web | Pool companies that also do landscaping or outdoor living. |
Descriptions of other agencies are drawn from how each one presents itself on its own site as of September 2026. Check their claims in the proposal and the references, same as you should check mine.
1. BJG Digital: pool service Google Ads and follow-up, run by a former owner
That's me. I owned a pool service company in Gilbert, Arizona for five years, grew it from 40 accounts to 300 and seven trucks, and sold it. I hired three agencies along the way and none of them could tell me what a weekly account cost to acquire. BJG Digital exists to answer that question.
The service is pool service marketing as one system: a website built to book, Google Ads for pool companies managed search-only and reported in cost per account, Google Business Profile work, and follow-up automation through PoolCRM. Flat monthly fee, ad spend paid to Google in your account, month to month.
Best fit: pool service routes with three or more trucks that want an operator running the ads, not an account manager. Not a fit: builders who need social media content, or anyone under three trucks, who should fix the phone first with a CRM and skip the agency. Numbers are on the results page.
2. Pool Marketing Site: Full-service pool specialist
Positions itself as a one-stop shop for pool and spa companies: SEO, paid search, social, reputation, email, websites, and a CRM. Says it has served the pool industry since 2010. Best fit for a builder or larger service company that wants one vendor for everything.
Best fit: Pool builders and multi-truck service companies that want a single vendor.
3. Pool Profits: Pool service and route-density specialist
Focuses on recurring pool maintenance and repair companies. Leans on service-area landing pages, CRM automation, review generation, and a Skimmer integration. Publishes a review-growth case study. Best fit for a service route that wants density, not just leads.
Best fit: Recurring maintenance routes already on Skimmer.
4. Hook Agency: Contractor SEO and website conversion
Not pool-exclusive. Works across roofing, HVAC, plumbing, and other trades with a strong SEO and conversion-focused website practice. Best fit for a pool company that also runs other trades and wants organic search to be the main channel.
Best fit: Multi-trade contractors prioritizing SEO and websites.
5. CAMP Digital: Home services marketing at scale
Serves home service businesses broadly, pool and spa included, with SEO, paid ads, websites, and marketing tied to staffing capacity. Best fit for a larger operation with a sales team and a growth plan that needs a bigger agency behind it.
Best fit: Larger home service companies with multiple crews and a sales team.
6. Digital Dynamics: Home service SEO, PPC, and web
Markets to home service contractors, says it limits client overlap by market, and offers SEO, PPC, and web design without long-term contracts. Best fit for pool-plus-landscaping or outdoor living companies that want a generalist without a lock-in.
Best fit: Pool companies that also do landscaping or outdoor living.
How to choose a pool service marketing agency
Whichever names you interview, require these before signing. Any agency worth hiring will say yes to all of them without hesitating.
- Reporting in booked jobs and weekly accounts. Clicks, impressions, and "engagement" don't pay for a truck. Ask to see a sample report.
- Call recordings and lead-quality tracking. If they can't show you which calls were homeowners and which were spam, they aren't measuring leads.
- You own everything. Website, domain, Google Ads account, Google Business Profile, tracking data. If you cancel, it all stays with you.
- A written definition of a qualified lead. Agreed before the first dollar is spent.
- Two references from pool companies your size. In a market with a similar season. A Phoenix reference means little to a Chicago route.
- Month to month. A 12-month contract protects the agency, not you.
- Seasonal budget pacing. Ask how they'd spend in your slowest month. If the answer is "the same," keep looking.
If you're under three trucks
Skip this whole list for now. The highest-return marketing move for a small pool route is fixing the phone: text back every missed call, follow up every quote on a schedule, and ask for a review after every job. A pool service CRM does that for $397 a month, and it should pay for itself with the first recovered account. Hire an agency when you're ready to add a truck and need a predictable source of accounts to fill it.
FAQ
What should a pool company look for in a marketing agency?
Someone who reports in booked jobs and weekly accounts, not clicks. Ownership of your website, domain, ad accounts, and Google Business Profile. Call recordings. Month-to-month terms. And at least two references from pool companies your size in a market like yours.
How much do pool service marketing agencies charge?
Most charge a flat management fee between $1,000 and $4,000 a month plus ad spend, which you should pay directly to Google in your own account. Be careful with agencies that charge a percentage of spend. It gives them a reason to want your budget bigger.
Should a small pool company hire an agency at all?
Under three trucks, usually not. Fix the phone first: missed call text back, quote follow-up, and review requests. A pool service CRM does that for a few hundred a month. Hire an agency when you're ready to add a truck and need a predictable source of accounts to fill it.
Is BJG Digital the best pool service marketing agency?
For a pool route with three or more trucks that wants Google Ads and follow-up run by someone who has owned a pool company, it's a strong fit. For a builder that needs social media and a large creative team, one of the bigger shops above is a better fit. This page says so on purpose.
